NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS

Since Wright Track Coaching was founded in 2018, our Academy groups have helped numerous athletes unlock their potential in the sport. Across the different groups in our pathway, Wright Track Coaching has helped produce the following (at junior and senior level):

JOSH FAULDS - ELITE SQUAD

Josh started athletics in 2012 and initially struggled to find his specialism. He tried almost every event, including pole vault, steeplechase and javelin. In 2015, he gave the 400m hurdles a go and he kept getting quicker and quicker with every race he did. Josh then started working with Wright Track lead coach James, who at the time had very little experience coaching that event. They continued to develop together, and in 2017 Josh was selected for the Commonwealth Youth Games in Bahamas, where he made the final.

Josh now trains in our elite squad alongside his part-time work as a swimming teacher. In 2024, he had a breakthrough year, running 49.24 to move to 25th on the all-time senior lists. In 2025, Josh finished 2nd at the British indoor championships over 400m, and was part of the bronze medal winning GB team in the mixed 4x400m at the European Indoor Championships

GEORGIE FORDE-WELLS - ACADEMY GRADUATE

Georgie joined our Academy in 2019 having showed potential in high jump at various local schools events. However, after being encouraged to try triple jump at a local YDL match, it was clear there was untapped potential in that event. Georgie had a successful two and a half years with the group developing her triple jumping talents. She won a bronze medal at the England U20 Championships in 2020 and made her first ever British Senior Championships at 17.

Georgie transitioned from the group to Loughborough University in September 2021 and has continued to thrive ever since. She has gone on to win two senior British Championship titles and two BUCS titles.
